In November 2014, Ilona Kickbusch, director of the Global Health Programme at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, launched a Twitter campaign aimed at showcasing female leadership in global health.
Using the hashtag #WGH100, Twitter users sent nominations of women working at the forefront of global health from around the world. The 100 Women Leaders in Global Health list was published on December 15th, 2014 and enjoyed tremendous reach across social media.
